Self-Study Tips

The AP Physics: Electricity & Magnetism and Mechanics exams are more difficult to self study for than some exams due to the sheer amount of material you need to learn, but it is still a doable feat.

We recommend starting off by getting the University Physics book which is a college level textbook that will prepare you for both of the Physics C exams.

If you don’t have the money to shell out on that book, you can buy Barron’s AP Physics C book. It’s a bit wordy, and has some redundant information, but it’s your best option if you want to get a 5 without spending hundreds of dollars on college level books.

You can supplement the Barron’s book with Physics videos available on Khan Academy, and Viren’s AP Physics C videos.

Then you can go through the Princeton Review Physics C book, and you should get a 5!
